Food Distribution
Wednesdays; 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Our weekly emergency food distributions are intended to provide individuals and families enough food for 4-5 days. Those in need are allowed to attend one Wednesday distribution session per calendar month. See below for Producemobile details.

During the distribution, clients living within our service boundaries receive a well-rounded assortment of food items. The first step is the shopping experience, where clients can choose items they prefer or are in specific need of by using “points.” Points are allotted based on the number of individuals in the household. Bread, produce, meats, canned goods, USDA commodities, and various private donations are packed in addition by volunteers while the client “shops.” Dietary restrictions are accommodated as much as possible.

In order to serve as many clients as possible during each session, we utilize a number system. To be fair and to eliminate the need to arrive extremely early, we hand out numbers in a lottery fashion 30 minutes before each session for those that must arrive early. After that, numbers are available on a first come-first serve basis. We ask that clients do not arrive extremely early for a distribution session.

New Clients
If you are in need of emergency food supplies please come to see us on a Wednesday afternoon or evening. Please bring something with your name and address (ID is preferred, but not required). There is a short form to fill out and we can step you through the distribution process once you arrive.


Common Pantry now offers a special distribution of fresh produce on the third Monday of each month, thanks to the GCFD Producemobile. Clients can come between 10am to 12pm on the third Monday to receive fresh fruits and vegetables, in addition to coming to one Wednesday distribution each month. This program allows us to expand the amount, variety and nutritional value of food provided.
