Cash donations from individual and organizations keep the Common Pantry operating. As a 501C3 Nonprofit organization, we are able to purchase food from the Greater Chicago Food Depository and other organizations at a significantly reduced rate. This means that your cash donation goes much further than if you were to buy the same items at your local grocery store. We also have operating costs (like the phone bill) that are necessary to successfully distribute emergency food supplies to those in need.
